I came to know Hudson Valley Roofers because they did the roof on my father-in-law’s house. My father-in-law is a retired contractor and he raved about the price, the quality of the work and how professional they were. Naturally, this was a no brainer for me to call them based on that recommendation. I called the office and asked for an estimate. They were out to my home in 2 days. A gentleman named Randy, who I later found out was the owner of the company, went up on the roof and took all the measurements. He was very polite, extremely knowledgable and answered every question I had (I had a lot!). That evening, I took the estimate to my father-in-law, he looked it over and said, “call them back first thing in the morning and book the job.” So I did exactly what he told me to do. I mailed out a $300 deposit check and “booked the job.” They called me 2 days after receiving the check and scheduled the job. I told them what color I wanted for my shingles and that was it! So easy. The job was scheduled for 3 days later and the work began. The crew arrived about 6:50 am and they started laying out very large tarps from my gutters to the ground to protect my landscaping. After that they were up on the roof ripping off the old shingles. Before I knew it, my roof was nothing but exposed plywood. They started roofing and by late afternoon everything was done! We had a beautiful new “architectural” shingled roof and our house looked fantastic. The crew went around picking up every little piece of debris that might have slid off the large tarps and they have this thing that looks like a broom with wheels but instead of bristles it has a magnet. I learned that it is used to pick up any old nails that might have fallen off the tarps. The crew was efficient, polite and certainly knew what they were doing. And with all the rain we had this past June, there wasn’t one problem at all. I can honestly say that Randy and the guys at Hudson Valley Roofers are highly recommended. So much so that my brother is going to use them at the end of the summer! Thank you.
